The Flandria cycling team was one of the strongest teams in the 1960s and 1970s. Three Flandria riders won the World Championship rainbow jersey: Rik Van Looy, Jean-Pierre Monsere, and Freddy Maertens. The Flandria team was also one of the strongest one-day racing teams, taking multiple victories in all the major Classics.
